Eimear Tracey

Eimear began playing music since the age of seven and has gone on to achieve her grade 8 in both classical piano and Irish traditional fiddle. She recently graduated with a 2:1 in Music and Audio Production from Queen's University Belfast.

 

From a young age, Eimear would regularly take part in Feis and Fleadh competitions held around Ireland and was the Ulster Champion in the Slow Air fiddle competition in 2011. She has had the opportunity to take part in many workshops with some very renowned and respected players such as Frankie Gavin and the band MOXIE. 

 

A member of the QUB trad society during her time at university, Eimear also studied Music Performance as part of her overall degree.

 

Over the past five years, she has regularly performed for ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, confirmations and communions and more recently, has also been teaching both piano and Irish trad fiddle in the Derry and Belfast area. 

 

She has also taken part in events such as the MBOLC festival, 100 Fiddles 55° North, 2016, world fiddle day 2020.
