Adam Roxborough
Adam developed a passion for music from the age of 6 and began studying at the St. Columb’s School of Music shortly after it was founded, after receiving private tuition in the years prior. Adam progressed quickly through his piano studies, completing grades Initial to Grade 8 and is currently undergoing his diploma. In recognition of his dedication and achievements, he was named St. Columb’s Pupil of the Year in 2023.
Educated at Dalriada School, Ballymoney, Adam was an active member of the school’s vibrant musical life, accompanying the senior choir as well as often singing as a Bass, and as a percussionist in the orchestra. His deep love for music naturally led him into teaching, and over the past three years, he has gained valuable experience as a private tutor. Adam is passionate about sharing his knowledge and inspiring the next generation of musicians, finding great fulfilment in seeing his students grow in both skill and confidence.
Now aged 19, Adam currently serves as Director of Music and Organist at Agherton Parish Church, Portstewart, where he plays a central role in leading and developing the musical life of the parish. He continues to expand his own musicianship through study and performance, while also nurturing a growing teaching practice.
Whether performing, conducting, or teaching, Adam always aims to pass that same enthusiasm on to those around him.
