Cal El Jimenez
Cal recently graduated from Ulster University, Magee with First Class Honours in Music. He began playing classical piano at the age of ten, progressing through RIAM Grades 1–6 and achieving distinctions in each before going on to explore jazz and contemporary styles.
Throughout his degree, Cal specialised particularly in jazz piano and gained extensive experience accompanying musicians across a wide range of genres, including pop, musical theatre and jazz. He has also accompanied LCM Musical Theatre examinations and has a particular interest in music theory, arranging and understanding the musical language behind performance.
Cal is looking forward to helping students develop not only their piano playing, but a real understanding and love of music.
