Rachel Harley
Rachel is 19 from Derry and a former pupil of Lumen Christi College. She has been singing since the age of six and has gone on to complete her grades in classical singing. She was an active member of the Lumen Christi College music department being a member of their senior choir, playing clarinet, and taking part in school productions. Rachel has recently workshopped and performed in a new musical production, ‘The White Handkerchief’ as ‘Alana Burke’, for the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, written by Liam Campbell.
As a member of the Playhouse Music Theatre Company, she has performed in two back-to-back musicals, ‘Edges’ and ‘I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change’, as well as writing and performing her own cabaret act with the company.
Rachel has performed in several local productions taking on leading roles such as ‘Katie Brown’ in ‘Calamity Jane’ with the Londonderry Musical Society and ‘Paulette’ in ‘Legally Blonde’ with the Millennium Forum. She has also previously performed in ‘Chicago’ as a ‘Merry Murderess’ in the Playhouse and is a former member of the Ulster Youth Choir and Codetta Youth, getting to sing alongside Tenebrae, The Marian Consort and The Ulster Orchestra.
Rachel is very excited to join the team at St. Columb’s School of Music.
