Luke Boyle

My interest in music began at the age of nine, when I first started learning the flute and piano. Since then, I have developed a wide range of skills and experience, achieving an ARSM Diploma in Piano as well as Grade 8 qualifications on the organ and flute.

I have served as an organ scholar at St Eugene’s Cathedral in Derry, St Mary’s Pro Cathedral in Dublin (home to the Palestrina Boys’ Choir), and most recently at Fisherwick Presbyterian Church in Belfast. These roles have given me extensive experience accompanying weekly services, carol services, soloists, and larger events, including local and national radio broadcasts and BBC’s Songs of Praise.

I recently graduated with First Class Honours in Music from Queen’s University Belfast, during this time I was awarded both the Stanford Prize and the Senior Organ Prize at the Dublin Feis. Alongside my performance work, I have been teaching piano for six years. I believe learning an instrument brings with it invaluable skills and opportunities for growth, and I am excited to bring this passion and experience to the School of Music team.
